My hobbies include fishing, motorcycles, and cooking. I recently started building a woodshop to practice furniture making.
Interesting story or fact about me:
In addition to Information Technology, I have also practiced in the trades of auto mechanics, plumbing, house wiring, and basic carpentry. I find being able to self-service home and automotive repair issues extremely rewarding.
Professional summary:
I started learning about Information Technology as a senior in High School where I was tasked with designing and building two computer labs from donated equipment. That task landed me an award and a small New England Technology scholarship, which jump-started my IT journey. I secured a helpdesk role a few years after graduating. I worked for a nonprofit organization where I learned the building blocks of networking, domain, and directory services. I was promoted to IT Manager in my 3rd year. From there I moved on to another nonprofit where I would serve as the System Administrator for three years, then as Director of Information Technology for 7 years before moving on to Envision.
