The Section 508 Standards, which focus on how websites should be accessible for individuals with disabilities, are going through their biggest change in nearly 20 years.
Even if your site meets the standards today, it may not be compliant under the new regulations which take effect in January of 2018. Outside of Section 508, organizations of all types are being impacted by ADA Compliance, making website accessibility a topic that is relevant and important for all sites.
In this half-day session, we will discuss the basics of website accessibility, specific changes that have been introduced, and what’s coming ahead. We will look at sample projects and tools to demonstrate accessibility and discuss how you can make your website accessible in accordance with recommended guidelines.
